The year 2023 in a Nutshell for Expect Aid

The first year of starting our business came with many challenges. However, we overcame the obstacles and stayed on the right path and made progress step by step.

With the help of our mentors and technical team, we made significant progress for our startup. Firstly, we went through the details of the pregnancy journey in Canada. Then, we learned about the Canadian prenatal recommendations in more depth and with more detail. So, we could identify the gaps that we try to fill more clearly. Also, we dug deeper into the recommendations regarding diabetes and other pre-existing conditions care during pregnancy.

We learned about different Blood Glucose Meter brands and how to provide them for our customers. We also prepared the wireframe and developed our online platform

One of the most profound aspects that we learned during the past year was about the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and how we can implement its guidelines to ensure the safeguarding of personal information.

We familiarized ourselves with business relationships in Canada along with our business’s role in the healthcare sector. Our mentors helped us to learn about how taxes and financial aspects of running a business in Canada work. We performed market segmentation and identified our target customers, especially our first customers.

To ensure we are prepared for all strategies to enter the market, we explored how Insurances in Canada and Extended Health Benefits works for both employers and employees. Besides, we discussed the regulations and methods of approaching registered nurses (RNs) to recruit them for our Premium Users.

In the end, we are proud of our social media and digital presence with valued interactions with our audience. We appreciate all contributions and make sure your feedback is heard and acknowledged by our team.

It is our goal to bring you the services that you deserve within the year 2024. In addition, we aim to perfect our user interface design and introduce our sets of services and packages according to what matters most to you, the valued customers at Expect Aid. That’s why moving forward, we rely even further on your support and feedback to improve upon our services, platform, and content.
